As this blog has become a part of my life I have realized that people have questions about the origins, functionality and interworkings of celebrating holidays.
Are you still going to blog even though you completed your list of holidays?
The answer is yes, but it will be different. I won’t be blogging every day, but I am going to continue to remind you why I’m hilarious. Initially my goal will be to share funny observations/really great things that happen to me. We will see how it goes. Let me know if you hate it.
Did you make up all of these holidays?
Absolutely not. Have you seen some of these days?? They are outrageous. If I was making these holidays up there would be a lot less days involving pets and a lot more days involving me being on The Ellen Show.
Where did these holidays come from?
I found several lists online and compiled them into my own super awesome list of worthy celebrations.
What is the celebration on my birthday?
On your birthday? Unless you are in my immediate family or my roommate who shares the same birthday as me, I have no idea. Occasionally, if people ask what celebration is on their birthday and their birthday is within the month I can successfully answer the question. Sorry I didn’t memorize your birthday random internet user.
Just in case you were wondering, my birthday is Tell a Joke Day.
How did you come up with this idea?
Well, I was sitting at my friend Tri’s house and we were discussing holidays. I said, “I bet there is a holiday for every day in the year.” I googled it on my high-tech iPhone and BOOM. I was right. Then I got ballsy and said that I could celebrate all of them. And then BOOM I had a blog and a New Year’s resolution.
Do you have the entire year of celebrations planned out?
No. I plan them month by month. I have looked at every month, but I don’t finalize it until the end of the month before. I have a general idea of the celebrations for the rest of the year, but things could change.
When do you post each day?
I usually post in the late evening. I would love to get up at 9:30 in the morning and have a shiny new post for you to read after yoga, but that just isn’t going to happen. I use the day to do things and to celebrate. The posts come later.
Can I celebrate with you?
Yes. Any day you want. Just let me know. Contact me via text messages, emails, Facebook messages, blog comments, Tweets, smoke signals, Morse Code and other various forms of communication. But mainly just smoke signals.
